Ranchi: A 14-year-old boy committed suicide by hanging himself while playing video games in Chakradharpur, Jharkhand. This boy was a student of class 8th. When people broke the door and reached the room, the video game was on on the computer in front of the dead body hanging from the noose. The child's mother is a teacher in DPS while the father is a steno of Omkar Singh, Senior DSC, Chakradharpur Railway Division. The child was alone at home at the time of the incident. The boy did not go to school saying that he was ill. The incident took place in Chakradharpur Railway Colony.
Due to the incident, the distraught parents are not in a condition to say anything. The police are probing the matter. At the time of the incident, the mother was taking classes at DPS school. The incident is of quarter number J 83/2 of Railway Colony near the Meso office on Friday. The minor was also a student of DPS. The body has been kept in the mortuary of the Railway Hospital.
When father Shridhar came home at 2.30 pm, he was shocked to see the dead body of his son hanging on the gallows. In a hurry, the body of the child was taken to the railway hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead. Chakradharpur police are investigating after taking information about the incident from the family members. When father Sridhar returned home for lunch, his son's body was hanging from the noose attached to the kitchen grate. The news of the matter was immediately given to RPF and Chakradharpur police station. Police said that the 13-year-old son of steno Shridhar of Railway Division Senior DSC Omkar Singh was alone in the room at the time of the incident. He was not feeling well so did not go to school. The teacher mother had gone to DPS school. Father also went to his work. According to the local people, The dead body of the child was hanging from the gallows attached to the kitchen grate. Nearby, the computer was on in the child's room and video games were running in it. No member of the family had thought that the child would take such a big step. What is the reason behind the hanging of the child. Till now it is not clear. Chandrashekhar Prasad, station in-charge of Chakradharpur, told that the investigation is going on to know the reason why the child committed suicide.
