Rajasthan: A 16-year-old girl in Class 8 in Rajasthan's Bhiwadi was reportedly raped twice by eight men, recorded, and blackmailed with videos of the sexual assault to pay Rs 2.5 lakh. After learning that a video of the sexual assault was going viral, her family contacted the police, and an FIR was filed under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections for gangrape and 376D as well as the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act on Wednesday (POCSO).

The girl's family claimed in the FIR, according to police, that the eight males first raped the girl in December 2021. “According to the complaint, one of the accused called the minor in December last year and told her that he had some photos of hers and if she doesn’t turn up then he will leak them. When she reached the spot, eight men allegedly sexually assaulted her and made videos of the act," Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Atul Agra, Kishangarh Bas circle, was reported by ThePrint as saying.

The accused utilised the girl's films and images of the alleged sexual assault to extort money from her over the course of several months. According to reports, the culprit asked the girl for Rs 2.5 lakh in total. “She paid up to Rs 50,000 in cash because they blackmailed her by saying they will release her videos. When she failed to do so [at one point], they forwarded an objectionable video of hers to another person on WhatsApp," the report further added what an official said.

According to DSP Agra, the girl allegedly experienced sexual assault twice since December and was acquainted with both of the perpetrators. The other men are likewise residents of neighbouring towns. The DSP said, "The offence had occurred in the village. The males allegedly demanded a total of Rs 2.5 lakh from the girl, and when she refused to pay, they shared the footage, according to a source.

According to sources, the girl hadn't told her family about the sexual assault or the film; instead, the situation was only discovered when a family member learned that the tape was being shared. According to authorities, no one has been detained as of yet in connection with the case.
