Angul: Unidentified miscreants have allegedly kidnapped two employees of a construction company that has been occupied in the construction of a bridge on Kamparakela-Timi road under Pallahara block in the district. As per reports, 12 unknown persons reached the construction site on Monday night and enquired about the employees who are on-duty.

The miscreants, who were speaking in Hindi language, terrorized two supervisors-Sanatan Behera and Narottam Biswal- at gunpoint at the worksite. in a while, they forcefully lifted them from the camp and took them away to an unknown location. The reason behind the kidnapping is yet to be ascertained, reports said.

After getting the information, the manager of the company reached the spot and took stock of the situation.“Around 10 to 12 miscreants arrived at the spot in two cars at around 1.30 am last night and terrorized our employees at gunpoint. Two of our supervisors were present at the work site. Miscreants abducted them at gunpoint in their cars,” company manager Girish Swain alleged. Swain has lodged a complaint at Pallahara police station in this regard. Police registered a case and launched an investigation to trace them.
