Mumbai: Basant Kumar Chakraborty, father of Bollywood actor Mithun Chakraborty, has died at the age of 95. He was battling illness for a long time. According to reports, he died due to kidney failure.

There is a discussion that Mithun Chakraborty is currently stranded in Bengaluru. He is trying to reach Mumbai. According to a report in the Times of India, Mithun went to Bengaluru for the shoot. However, they are stuck there due to the lockdown. At the same time, Mithun's big partner Mimoh is currently present in Mumbai. Significantly, the country is currently facing the havoc of the Coronavirus. Thus, till May 3, the lockdown is in place across the country and all types of traffic services are also closed.
