Aizawl: Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga's elder sister Lalvuni (88) died on Monday at Joram Medical College in Aizawl. CM Joramthang has announced the news of his demise on Twitter. She had been ailing for some time due to asthma and old age complications. Meanwhile, he was found suffering from Covid 19 infection.

"It is with great sadness that I inform that my dear elder sister Lalvuni (88 years) passed away today at 11:30 am," the Chief Minister tweeted. According to family sources, Lalvuni, the third of the seven siblings, was ill. Sources said that he was diagnosed with Covid-19 on September 22 and was shifted to ZMC.
