Aizwal: The total number of infection cases has reached 21,003 with 233 new cases of coronavirus reported in Mizoram on Saturday. There are 4,010 active cases of covid-19 in the northeastern state, while 16,899 have recovered from the disease. The death toll remains at 94. Aizawl districts recorded the highest number of 134 cases of infection out of new cases.
This was followed by 43 and 22 cases in Kolacib and Lunglei respectively. Meanwhile, Mizoram Health Minister R Lalthangliana said the state is preparing to deal with the possible third wave of the epidemic. Corona cases declined for the second consecutive day on Friday. There were 48,606 cases on Wednesday. This was followed by 46,781 cases on Thursday and 44,185 corona cases on Friday.
