Lalsawta, the newly elected president of the Mizoram Congress, has stated that his party is preparing for a corruption-free government that the people of Mizoram can trust.

Lalsawta told the media in Aizawl that if the Congress party comes to power in 2023, it will form a responsible government in Mizoram. "We will create a trustworthy government that is devoid of corruption." "We will form a brave government that will prosecute high-ranking officials for breaking the law," Lalsawta stated.

He stated that his party will develop a system that will allow people to develop and follow the right path by all means necessary. If his party wins the next assembly elections, the former Mizoram finance minister says his party will emphasize financial management.

He said that the state is in financial trouble as a result of the current Mizo National Front (MNF) government, led by chief minister Zoramthanga, mismanaging the state's finances. He also stated that his party will provide regular wages and pensions to government employees and retirees.

The Congress president said that during the current administration, government employees and pensioners were paid sporadically and that the government currently had a pension fund of Rs 11,328 lakh owed to pensioners.

Lalsawta stated that his party does not want the government to be in the hands of politicians who believe that money can buy votes. "We will work hard to ensure that the government does not fall into the hands of those who believe they can buy votes." "We will strongly fight such politicians with like-minded individuals," he stated.

If his party wins the next assembly elections, he says he would scrap the New Land Use Policy (NLUP) and stop handing out money. However, the Mizoram Congress president stated that the party will support poor, hardworking, and honest people and entrepreneurs who are attempting to become self-reliant.
