Lucknow: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) member and MLA from Uttar Pradesh’s Khatauli constituency, Vikram Singh Saini, has made misogynistic remarks on the scrapping of Jammu & Kashmir’s special status provided under Article 370 of the Constitution. Addressing a local gathering, he thanked PM Narendra Modi, Union and the country's Home Minister Amit Shah. Speaking from the podium, he said that the workers are very keen on marrying girls from Jammu and Kashmir.

According to report, Saini said, "Muslim party workers should rejoice in the new provisions. They can now marry the white-skinned women of Kashmir,” Saini declared. His statement was met with applause.

The BJP MLA further stated in the House that women in Jammu and Kashmir were tortured. If the girl married a UP boy, her citizenship would have been lost. How could there be two legislations in one country? Muslim activists should also be happy about it. Marry the Kashmiri blonde girl. Be it Hindu or Muslim it is a matter of immense happiness for everyone. 

For your information, Modi government on Monday has decided to revoke the section 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, which was passed with a majority in the Lok Sabha after the Rajya Sabha. With this, Ladakh and Kashmir have been made two separate Union Territories.
