Ranchi: A major case of hit-and-run has come to light in Dhanbad, Jharkhand, which is called the coal capital of the country. In the incident, an engineer couple working in BCCL died after being hit by a Fortuner car belonging to a powerful family in power. The couple's son was also injured in the incident. He is undergoing treatment at a big hospital in Kolkata. The condition of the child is also said to be critical.
According to the report, the incident took place in Dhaiya area of Dhanbad police station area at 11-12 pm on Friday night. Rana Das and his wife Mansi Das, who were working as surveyors in BCCL, were killed in a car collision. Rana's brother has told that Rana had gone to the doctor to see his son Rishabh Das. His wife was also with him. After showing the son, Rana was returning home with his wife and son on a bike. On the way, the drivers of 2 Fortuner cars were racing among themselves. The Fortuner car (JH 10 CF 0045) was at a very high speed. The car hit the brother's bike tremendously. Due to this, the brother and his wife jumped in the air several feet away.
Bhai Rana Das died on the spot. At the same time, Mansi was first taken to SNMMCH for treatment. He was then referred to another hospital. Mansi died on the way. His brother's son Rishabh Das was also seriously injured in the accident. He is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Kolkata.
