LUCKNOW: Following the death of a young woman in Lucknow by her teenage son when she tried to stop him from playing PUBG, psychiatrists have warned parents about their children's cellphone addiction.

According to experts at King George's Medical University's (KGMU) psychiatric department's special clinic for treating internet addictions, several cases of children turning aggressive due to gaming addictions are reported every month.
According to Adarsh Tripathi, an assistant professor in KGMU's psychiatric department, the KGMU clinic handles about eight to ten cases of children hooked to gaming on a weekly basis.

These children, although severely addicted, do not see their behaviour as a problem, according to research. Even their parents are unconcerned about their actions. They are only taken to the clinic when they develop mental or physical issues. "Because parents only visit when their children become really violent, the number of children addicted to gaming could be significantly higher. Such concerns can be readily handled if such children are counselled in a timely manner "he said. 

The most concerning aspect of these games is that they have no finish.

"After completing one level, you will be presented with a new task. This captivates young people around the clock, and they become socially estranged as a result "he said.
