In a recent Financial Times newspaper report, it has been said, 'American company Moderna is planning to charge a price of Rs 3700 to 4500 for a course of its vaccine.' The proposed price of the Moderna vaccine is being said to be Rs 800 more than the Pfizer and Corona vaccine of BioNTech. In the report that came out, it said that Moderna company can take 3700 to 4500 rupees for two doses of their vaccine.
America has made a deal of about 15 thousand crores for the vaccine of Pfizer and German partner Pfizer. According to this deal, vaccination has been given to 5 crore people. It is being said that people will get the vaccine only when the vaccine proves to be effective and safe in the last stage trials. According to the report, Moderna can charge from 3700 to 4500 rupees for vaccines from America and other high-income countries. Simultaneously, the company spokesperson said, 'the supply of vaccine is being discussed with the US government and the spokesperson did not confirm the price citing confidentiality'.
In this regard, Reuters says, 'the price of Moderna's coronavirus vaccine is yet to be finalized'. Pfizer, Moderna, and Merck & Co companies have said, 'they will sell the vaccine with profit.' The British Swedish company AstraZenka has taken a deal to supply 300 million vaccines to America for about 9 thousand crore rupees. America will have to pay 300 rupees per dose of the Astragenka vaccine.
