New Delhi: The Modi government at the Center has not allowed Delhi CM and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) founder Arvind Kejriwal to visit Denmark. While giving information in the Rajya Sabha, AAP MP Sanjay Singh said on Tuesday that the Foreign Ministry has not allowed Kejriwal's visit to Denmark.

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal had sought permission to travel to Denmark to attend 'C40' - a conference on climate change. In the Rajya Sabha, AAP MP Sanjay Singh said that it is very unfortunate not to allow travel. He further said, "It is beyond my understanding why the Modi government is treating us like this". AAP MP in Rajya Sabha Sanjay Singh further said that Kejriwal was not going on a holiday tour to Denmark, but was to attend a conference of mayors of 100 cities in Asia.

In the Rajya Sabha, AAP MP Sanjay while explaining the purpose of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's visit said that CM Kejriwal would have presented a better view of the country on the ways of dealing with pollution in Denmark. Sanjay Singh questioned, "How many Chief Ministers' official visits have been canceled so far. We applied a month ago but could not get permission."
