Patna: Mohammad Major, accused of kidnapping and raping a minor Dalit girl in Araria, Bihar, has been arrested by the police. Mohammad Major was reportedly on the run in Nepal. The arrest comes about 12 days after the incident. Meanwhile, the accused continued to change their whereabouts in delhi NCR. Police have nabbed Mohammad Major from Chandni Chowk in Delhi.

Araria police confirmed the arrest. The arrest took place on December 13 (Monday). Talking to media, Araria SP Hridaykant said, "Mohammad Major was absconding after the rape of the girl. We had received a tip-off about him being towards Delhi. We dispatched a police team to the same area. Wherever we got the information about the accused, we gave us a report. The accused first went to Noida, then tried to hide in Delhi, then gurugram, then Meerut. '

Police said the accused tried his best to hide among his acquaintances. But no one agreed to give it shelter. The police of all the States cooperated a lot.  It was also learnt that the accused Mohammad Major was on the run in Nepal. Earlier, the police arrested the accused from Chandni Chowk. '
