Hyderabad: After returning from Australia, Team India pacer Mohammad Siraj paid tribute to his late father Mohammad Village on Thursday. Before the series against Australia began, Siraj had lost his father, but the pacer had decided to stay in Australia to fulfil his father's dream of watching Test cricket. In his debut Test series, he performed the best and also become a five-wicket-taker in Test cricket.
After the four-day game of the GABA Test ended, Siraj revealed that it was extremely difficult for him, but a call from his mother gave him a lot of confidence to go on the field and express himself. Then Siraj said, "I am thankful that I managed to take five wickets because it was a very difficult situation for me after my father's demise. But after talking to my mother at home, I gained some confidence. My mother's phone made me mentally strong. My focus was on fulfilling my father's wish. '
Siraj took 13 wickets in three Test matches on the Australian tour. He made his debut for India during the MCG Test against Australia. In the first Test in Adelaide, Mohammed Shami got injured and due to this Siraj got the opportunity to play. After joining the last decade, Siraj performed brilliantly.
