The recent incidents of suicide by young women, allegedly due to dowry-related issues have sparked outrage across the state. Mohanlal has now shared a glimpse from his upcoming film ?Aaraattu?, wherein the lead character Neyyattinkara Gopan (Mohanlal) is interacting with a group of women and emphasizing why education is important.
?Marriage is not the ultimate goal of women. Being independent is important. That is politically correct,? Neyyattinkara Gopan says. Sharing the video from his upcoming movie, Mohanlal urged, ?Say no to dowry.? Let?s strive forward and create a Kerala where there?s justice and equality for women,? Mohanlal penned in the post.

?Aaraattu? is an upcoming Malayalam film directed by B Unnikrishnan. The film is scripted by Udaykrishna, who has earlier scripted Mohanlal?s blockbuster film ?Pulimurugan?.
In ?Aaraattu? Mohanlal will be seen in the lead role of Neyyattinkara Gopan. The makers have earlier launched a teaser from the film and cinephiles are eagerly waiting for the film.
?Aarattu? is touted to be an all-out entertainer that has action, sentiments, and comedy in it. South star Shraddha Srinath has roped in to play the leading lady, an IAS officer in the film. Actors Vijayaraghavan, Saikumar, Siddique, Johny Antony, Nandu, Kottayam Ramesh, Indrans, Sivaji Guruvayoor, Kochupreman, Prasanth Alaxander, Ashwin, Lukman, Ravikumar, Garuda Ram, Prabhakar, Rachana Narayanankutty, Swaswika, Malavika Menon, Neha Saxena, and Sita have roped in to play some supporting characters in the film.
