Dehradun: Monsoon has also started. This time the monsoon has reached Uttarakhand with a delay of two days. Monsoon reached the state on Tuesday, 23 June 2020 and monsoon rain on Wednesday frightened people. The southwest monsoon has reached most parts of the state with a delay of two days. On Tuesday, the monsoon knocked over most of Kumaon division and some parts of Garhwal division. Monsoon is expected to reach the remaining parts during the next 48 hours. Where there is a possibility of heavy rains in many areas of the state today.

Meteorological Department warned of bad weather in most areas. The weather centre director Bikram Singh has informed that today, heavy rain may occur at some places in Dehradun, Tehri, Nainital, Champawat and Pithoragarh districts. The rain in Bageshwar caused waterlogging. Water entered the houses here. The Saryu river is in spate at Bageshwar. Police is appealing not to go near the river.

A huge tree fell on the main highway in the Bhakra forest on the Kaladhungi-Haldwani road. Due to which, a car hit the tree. Due to the stoppage of traffic, there was a long queue of vehicles on both sides.
