Bhopal: Monsoon is still intact in the country. Many states are receiving unseasonal rains. Due to these rains, the water level of several nearby rivers including Gujarat, Bengal and Maharashtra is rising. Waterlogging is being faced in many areas. Amidst all this, the Indian Meteorological Department has recently said that a total of 10 states in the country including UP, Madhya Pradesh are going to receive heavy rain.

Recently, IMD has given a piece of information saying that "there is less pressure with cyclonic circulation in the north of south-west Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh. Low pressure may weaken during the next 24 hours and is expected to move forward in the next three days as a cyclonic circulation in west-north-west and north Chhattisgarh and north Madhya Pradesh.'' The IMD has also said that a cyclonic circulation is at the lower troposphere level in western Rajasthan and its neighbourhood and is likely to remain there till September 24.

Heavy rain is likely to occur in eastern Rajasthan and Gujarat by September 26. In addition, Uttarakhand is likely to receive heavy rain till September 26. In Maharashtra, the water level of the Godavari river has increased due to heavy rains in Nashik. In addition, Kolkata has recorded the highest rainfall in a day in September in the last 14 years. It received 142 mm rainfall till 8.30 am last Monday.
