Bengaluru: The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) has identified more than 1200 buildings illegally constructed after June 1, 2008 on his land. According to BDA Commissioner HR Mahadev, 515 illegal buildings have been identified in HSR Layout and 695 in Pillana Garden area. In other departments also, such building is being identified.

These buildings will be legalized by taking penalty from the building owners as per the order of the state government. According to the order issued by the BDA after the ordinance of the state government, the buildings constructed on the plot of twenty three square square feet are 10 percent of the market rate, 25 percent for 30 times 40 square feet plot, 40 percent for 60 times 40 plot and 50 times Buildings will have to pay 50 percent penalty on 80 square feet plots.

This time the Commissioner said that the process of marking such buildings in all the 64 layouts of the city is quite long. The help of technology is being taken to complete this work quickly. Maps are being prepared from aerial surveys through the Karnataka Remote Sensing Application Center of all layouts. With these maps, it will be easy to identify illegal rupee buildings on the acquired land of BDA.
