The Indian Premier League (IPL) is in its eighth season and we have already seen plenty of T20 records been created. Here, we look at 5 most embarrassing records in the history of IPL.

5. Lowest score in the IPL history

IPL history was created at Eden Gardens as Royal Challengers Bangalore were bowled out for the lowest total in the tournament. Chasing 132, RCB were bowled out for just 48; three players were dismissed for a duck and no one got into double digits. RCB lost the match by 82 runs.

4. Most expensive over by a bowler

It was the 50th match of the 2011 IPL season between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kochi Tuskers. Chasing a modest target of 126, Chris Gayle came to his destructive best in the third over of the innings when he smashed Prasant Parameswaran for 37 runs in a single over.

3. Most run considered by a bowler

Sadly, Sun Risers Hyderabad (SRH) fast bowler Ishant Sharma, who conceded 66 runs in his 4 overs against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the 2013 edition. This spell by Ishant is not only the worst in IPL history, but it also features in the top ten most expensive bowling spells in T20 history. Ishant just bowled 3 dot balls in his spell and conceded 6 fours and 5 sixes.

2. Worst Economy rate - 29.00

Australia’s opening batsman Aaron Finch is known for his explosive style of batting, but he holds the record for the worst economy rate in a single innings. He considered 29 runs against Chris Gayle.

1. Most Ducks in an innings

Harbhajan had a impressive strike rate of 142.42 and barring his solitary fifty he doesn't boast of many fascinating knocks. He has 14 ducks in his career and therefore he is not only the man with the number of most ducks for MI but also for any team in the IPL history.
