NEW DELHI: The Special Cell of the Delhi Police has apprehended a most wanted crimiinal from Bihar and Assam who was connected to several crimes.

Jasmeet Singh, DCP of Special Cell, Southern Range, stated that the suspect, Dabloo Yadav alias Rashida Raman, was detained at Okhla Mandi in New Delhi at 10.30 a.m. on August 29 when he arrived to meet with his contacts.
"He has been taken into custody by Inspector Shiv Kumar, working under ACP Attar Singh's direction. On the spot, a single-shot pistol with a.315 bore and three live rounds was found on him. In this regard, a case under the Arms Act has been recorded in the Special Cell "Singh said.

Yadav had been on the run since a case of sensational shootout resulting in the death of one Avdesh Yadav, his own nephew, in February this year.

Yadav had hired two killers and got Avdesh killed to settle the scores with him to avenge the killing of his two brothers by the family members of Suryanarain Yadav, his own uncle. When there was a land dispute between the Suryanarain and Avdesh families, Avdesh used to favour the Suryanarain family.

"Yadav was missing and sought after in the aforementioned murder case in Guwahati, Assam. Yadav disclosed that there has been a 26-year-old disagreement between his family and the Suryanarain Yadav family about ownership of 12 bighas of agricultural property in their hamlet in Samastipur, Bihar. He has also revealed that in order to exact revenge on Avdesh Yadav for standing up for his uncle Suryanarain Yadav's family in a land dispute, he hired two professional killers, Pankaj Ram and Balram Paswan, and had them kill Avdesh Yadav "added the official.
