Hero MotoCorp, the world's largest two-wheeler manufacturer, on Thursday announced that its motorcycles and scooters are set to be made costlier across the country from January 4, 2022. The company has said that the price hike could be up to Rs 2,000 depending on various models and markets.

As Hero MotoCorp claims, prices are being hiked due to rising raw material costs. The domestic two-wheeler chief has hiked the ex-showroom prices of his motorcycles and scooters by Rs 3,000 on July 1 this year.

After which the prices were once again increased on 30th September. In the second price hike, the vehicle manufacturer raised the price of its two wheelers to Rs 3,000. In both previous instances of price rise, Hero MotoCorp cited the increased cost of production due to rising raw material prices.
