Mathura: A son brutally murdered his father in Mathura in UP to the country's largest state. After the murder, the body was wrapped in a quilt on the cot and set on fire. The case is of Narhauli. The son killed his father only because he wanted to sell his house. And his father wasn't convinced of that. There was often a fight between them about it.
On Friday, due to this, the two again got into an argument and the son first assaulted the father and then strangulated him to death. On receipt of the complaint, the police recovered the charred body and sent it for post-mortem. After registering a report on the mother's complaint, the police nabbed the culprit late at night.
The victim's mother Asha Devi said her husband Amritlal (55) was a mason by profession. About 12 days ago, she had gone with her daughter. Amritlal and his son Vineet were at home. On Friday, Vineet again asked his father to sell the house. But when he didn't agree, he got angry. He strangled his father to death while he was sleeping on a cot. Then wrapped in a quilt and set on fire. Thereafter, the criminal fled from the spot. Seeing the smoke, the neighbours came there. They told the police about it. The police later arrested the son. The post-mortem report is awaited at the moment.
