KOLKATA: The Narcotic Control Bureau's Kolkata wing announced on Saturday that it has apprehended six members of an interstate gang and recovered 400 kilogrammes of ganja worth Rs 24 lakh from them.

Two vehicles used in the distribution of Ganja have also been seized, according to a senior NCB official.

"They're a part of the interstate ganja trade. We have busted the entire network with their arrests. They had a network that stretched from Odisha to West Bengal. They were providing it after smuggling Ganja into veggies "According to an NCB official.

The official stated that they had been working for a long time to bust this group. They received a new tip concerning the accused about a week ago. The information was gathered, and a squad of NCB elite officials was organised to apprehend the suspects.

In Kolkata, the team set up a trap for them and nabbed them. After the NCB officer stated that they do not require them for further interrogation, the accused were examined and brought before a court, which remanded them in judicial custody for fourteen days.
