India-Nepal sign MoU for reconstruction of 6 secondary schools

New Delhi: A MoU has been signed between India and Nepal on Thursday for six secondary schools. Under this MoU, India will build schools in Nepal. The MoU has been signed between the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu and the Central Level Project Implementation Unit (Education) of Nepal. This unit comes under the Reconstruction Authority (NRA) of Nepal. There has been a lot of tension between India and Nepal in the year 2020 and now this MoU can prove to be the one leading the betterment of the relationship between the two countries.

After this MoU, India will help in the reconstruction of six schools at a cost of 518 lakh Nepalese rupees. Among the schools that have been selected, four schools are located in Kanti Bhairab Secondary School, Champa Devi Secondary School, Dhapasi Secondary School, Bishnu Devi Secondary School, Capital Kathmandu District. At the same time, two schools Siddheshwar Secondary School and Harisiddhi Secondary School are present in the Kavre district. Programs related to the reconstruction of these schools were also organized in Kathmandu. During this time Kampa, the Deputy Chief of the Indian Embassy was present. He said that the program for the reconstruction of schools is a great proof of the strengthening and progress of the partnership between India and Nepal.

While giving information, Mr. Kanti Bhairab Secondary School Principal Tirath Koirala said that in the year 2015, when there was an earthquake that destroyed his school building completely. There were cracks in the entire building and they also had to deal with the problem of water leakage. Because of this, it was very difficult to organize a class.
