Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has transferred Rs 224.08 crore to the accounts of 10,285 beneficiaries under the Sambal Yojana. The Chief Minister fired a broadside on Tuesday at the predecessor Congress dispensation by declaring that it ceased extending benefits of the Sambal Yojana.

“However, my government revived the programme,” the veteran leader was officially quoted as saying while electronically transferring ex gratia of Rs 224.08 crore to 10,285 beneficiaries during a function at the state capital’s grand Minto Hall.

The regime has decided that every indigent individual will have a pucca dwelling by 2024 and tap water supplied. Four Shramodaya schools are being run to provide proper education to labourers’ children and more such institutions shall be established.

The CM interacted online with Mumtaz Bano of Betul District, Rashi Devalia (Jabalpur), Yashodabai Kushwaha (Barwaha) and Mamta Sikarwar (Ujjain). He said, So far, Rs 1,483 cr have been disbursed to 1.80 lakh people. Under the plan, 1.92 lakh migrant labourers are also being registered.
