Bhopal: On Friday, former CM of MP Digvijay Singh sat on a dharna near the residence of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Actually, Digvijay Singh wanted to meet Chief Minister Shivraj along with the farmers affected by the irrigation project. But when he did not get time from Chief Minister Shivraj, he sat on a dharna. It is being said that strict security arrangements have been made near the Chief Minister's residence.

All the routes leading to the Chief Minister's residence have been barricaded. Chief Minister Shivraj has now given an appointment to Meet Digvijay Singh on January 23. In fact, Digvijay Singh had said 3 days ago that Shivraj Singh Chouhan, if he does not give him time to meet by January 20, will sit on dharna outside the CM's residence on January 21. Digvijay Singh alleged that he has been asking for time to meet the CM but the CM is not giving time. Digvijay had also written to CM Shivraj for the same.

Digvijay Singh wants to meet CM Shivraj over the hardships faced by farmers and villagers in the submerged areas of four districts. Digvijay Singh wanted to meet CM Shivraj today on the problems faced by the drowning families in Bhopal, Rajgarh, Vidisha and Guna districts under Tem and Suthalia irrigation projects. Digvijay alleged that for the past one month he has been seeking time to meet Chief Minister Shivraj but the Chief Minister is not giving time. It was only when CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan passed in front of Digvijay Singh's bungalow to plant trees at Smart City Park in Shyamala Hills this morning that former CM Digvijay Singh arrived to meet him with the farmers and the police stopped him and surrounded his vehicle. It was then that Digvijay Singh sat on protest.
