Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Police is celebrating its foundation day today. The event is being held at Motilal Nehru Police Stadium in the capital Bhopal. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also attended the function and took the salute of the parade. Home Minister Narottam Mishra and Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains as well as senior police officials are present on the occasion. In his address during the event, Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra said, "What was the leader of the opposition criticizing the police at Balaghat's program when he was in government at that time. As of today, no gang of bandits is active in the state. Naxalite activities are zero. This does not mean that there is a kingdom of peace. There are sporadic incidents. The police have done a better job in preventing cases of misbehavior with daughters. The police are working to change the mindset of the people towards the daughters. During the Corona period, the police personnel stood like a soldier on the border. He was followed by chief minister Shivraj Singh's address at the function.

The Chief Minister said, "Madhya Pradesh Police has not one but many achievements in its account which I and the people of the state are proud of. Today, I want to salute those who gave direction to the Madhya Pradesh Police. It is a matter of pride for all of us. We have broken the network of Naxalism. I am sure this Madhya Pradesh Police will completely eradicate this Naxalism. Simi's network has been demolished. When the task was given to the Madhya Pradesh Police, it has been done with full duty. What we saw during the Covid crisis is truly proud. An epidemic like Covid that was not known. When there was a lockdown, everything was closed, the police personnel was walking with their lives in their palms.'

He further said, "I bow to the MP police for the sacrifice. I am confident that with this devotion to duty, the Madhya Pradesh Police will not only maintain the law and order situation in the state but will also do the best in the country. Chambal was flooded with devastating floods this year. Our police personnel have managed to save lives by risking their lives. Madhya Pradesh is called the island of peace. There are some incidents in the living society, but I congratulate the Madhya Pradesh Police for taking prompt action against them also. We have launched a variety of schemes. Dial-100 is a similar service. A campaign like Muskan has brought a large number of daughters back home. Not one but many campaigns we have launched. The result of this is that crime is under control. Cybercrime is a challenge for us. We need to do more against crime. Serious matters need to be brought seriously. If you try harder, no criminal will survive. We will continue to address the obstacles in our way of working.''
