Renowned Indian cricketer and former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain, MS Dhoni, has etched his name in the record books once again. Dhoni became the first Indian wicketkeeper-batsman to achieve the remarkable feat of scoring 7,000 runs in T20 cricket during an electrifying match against Delhi Capitals (DC) in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.

The 42-year-old cricket maestro showcased his prowess on the field as he delivered an outstanding performance. Despite coming in towards the end of the innings, Dhoni exhibited his signature power-hitting style, smashing 37 runs off just 16 balls. His aggressive batting included four boundaries and three sixes, earning him a staggering strike rate of 231.25. CSK fans erupted with joy as their beloved 'Thala' punished DC's pacer, Anrich Nortje, by plundering 20 runs off the final over.
