Mumbai: The Shaktipeeth Kamakhya temple in Assam is going to get 19 kilograms of gold as a gift on this Diwali. Reliance Industries Limited, a company of billionaire businessman Mukesh Ambani, has announced the donation of three urns made of 19 kg gold to Kamakhya Devi Temple, one of the important temples of Hindus in India. These three urns will be installed on the dome of the temple. The temple, which was closed in lockdown due to global epidemic coronavirus, has been reopened to devotees from October 12.

The Diwali gift given by RIL to the temple is being worked on by local artists in Mumbai. According to the information given in the media report, RIL chairman Anil Ambani is showing great interest in this project and is keeping a close watch. To install three large urns over the dome, gold plating is also being done there. The jewelery unit of RIL has been entrusted with the task of completing this entire work.

The gold plating on the dome will be completed soon and the remaining work is expected to be completed in the next two weeks. A copper frame design has been made for the main structure and gold plating is still in progress.
