Prosecution was successful in proving the charges: The court has said in its order that the liability of the accused in the criminal case is being determined beyond reasonable doubt. In this case, through the evidence available on record, the prosecution has been successful in proving beyond reasonable doubt that accused Mukhtar Ansari had even threatened to kill Mahavir Prasad Rungta over telephone at around 5 pm on 5 November 1997. . In this way, the offense defined in Section 503 of the Indian Penal Code and punishable under section 2 of Section 506 has been committed by accused Mukhtar Ansari. In such a case, he is punished with imprisonment of five years and six months and a fine of Rs 10,000.
