New Delhi: Indian investigative agencies have had a major breakthrough. They have arrested Abu Bakr, one of the most wanted terrorists in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts, from the UAE. Abu Bakr will soon be brought to India. According to reports, the arrests were made in collaboration with UAE agencies as part of a major search operation by India in several countries.

Abu Bakr is considered to be very special to underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, who has been involved in activities such as training terrorists in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (Pok) in arms and explosives. The terrorist is alleged to have brought a huge quantity of RDX to India during the Mumbai blasts. According to the information, in the year 2019 also, Indian agencies had arrested Abu Bakr from UAE. At that time, due to a lack of documents, the charges against this perpetrator of the Mumbai blasts could not be proved. Due to this, UAE officials were able to release him. However, this time, Indian agencies have caught the terrorist.

It is being told that a Red Corner Notice was also issued against Abu Bakr in 1997, after which Indian agencies were searching for him. Abu Bakr was accused of smuggling gold, clothes and electronics from gulf countries to Mumbai along with Mustafa Dossa. On March 12, 1993, there were 12 blasts at various places in Mumbai, in which 257 people were killed and 713 injured. All these blasts were carried out at the behest of Dawood Ibrahim. Among the terrorists involved in the blast were the names of people like Abu Salem and Farooq Takla, who were arrested by Indian investigative agencies. At the same time, the mastermind of this blast, Dawood Ibrahim, is still out of the grip of the police.
