Mumbai City FC started their Indian Super League (ISL) season with a win over Pune FC. The 1-0 victory on the state rival made the coach of the Mumbai City FC Alexandre Guimaraes happy.
It has been seen in this season that the coach Alexandre Guimaraes was very optimistic regarding the approach that will be followed in this season. The 69th minute goal by Matias Defederico helped the team of Mumbai to take over Pune FC in the their home ground only.
"We didn't get enough possession of the ball, and it was only after 20-25 minutes that we found our game and the space for our players to perform. In defence, we have to be much more alert and not allow counter attacks. It is now a matter of recovery, rest, eating well and making adjustments. The practice we had in Dubai has shown. But we'll need to play well throughout the tournament. We would have to adjust fast," said Guimaraes.
