Mumbai: The monsoon has hit Maharashtra and the situation in 'Dream City' Mumbai is not good at the moment. Heavy rain continues here and due to choking water is filled up to a level in every locality. Heavy rain has been raining since morning last Friday as well which has submerged many areas. People have been evacuated to safer places. On the other hand, the Met department has predicted that "heavy rain may occur throughout the day on Friday. A red alert has been issued.''

Earlier last Thursday, 12 people were killed and seven others injured when a four-storey building collapsed in mumbai's suburb of Malad (West). Eleven people, including eight children, were killed in the same accident. Nine members of the same family were reportedly among the dead.
