Mumbai parts receive unseasonal light showers on Friday

The Mumbai The city woke up to light showers on early Friday morning but it did not affect the minimum temperature which was almost 6 degrees Celsius above normal. Parts of Mumbai received light drizzle today amid the winter. As per reports, several areas including Sion, Kurla, Wadala, Kalyan, Ambernath, Badlapur, Thane experienced drizzle and cooler climate.

The city is also likely to witness cloudy skies towards the latter half of the day. On Thursday, Mumbai experienced the second-highest minimum temperature in the last 10 years at 24 degrees Celsius. The highest minimum temperature recorded in the decade was on December 5, 2019 which was at 25.3 degrees Celsius.

According to reports, the India Meteorological Department said that Mumbai is not likely to receive any unseasonal rain while several parts of Maharashtra including south Konkan and south-central Maharashtra may witness rainfall in the coming days.
