Mumbai: The country's largest court hearing is scheduled to be held today over the revelations of the Television Rating Point (TRP) scam conducted by the Mumbai police in the past. The affidavit has been filed by the Mumbai police before the court hearing. Which has been opposed to a petition filed by Republic TV.

The Mumbai police, in its affidavit, termed the plea as misuse of the legal process and sought to dismiss it with a fine. In addition, the Mumbai police has said that the accused cannot determine how the investigation will take place in a case. Mumbai Police claims that other channels are cooperating in the investigation of the TRP scam, with only one channel having problems. The Mumbai police says the investigation into the case is still in the early stages and it cannot be handed over to the CBI at the outset. It refers to the old rulings of the apex court, which says that CBI should be investigated in exceptional cases.
