Mumbai: While the havoc of corona infection is yet to stop, concerns over the third wave seem to be growing. In fact, this third wave is said to have hit Mumbai. In fact, 532 new cases have been registered in Mumbai last Wednesday. Let me tell you that there has been the biggest increase in new cases since July. In fact, earlier on 15th July, 528 new corona patients were found here.

Talking about entire Maharashtra, 4,174 new cases of coronavirus were reported and 65 people died on Wednesday, raising the number of infected to 64,97,872 and the death toll to 1,37,962. Let me tell you that Mumbai has not only seen an increase in the new case, but the positivity rate has also gone up here. The positivity rate here has now reached 0.9 to 1.1% as compared to 0.5-0.7% till the third week of August. Let me tell you that the average case for the last 7 days in Mumbai has now gone up to 434 as compared to just 253 on August 18.

These figures indicate that the risk of a third wave in Mumbai has increased. Let me tell you that local trains have also been opened in Mumbai during the last two months. At the same time, some schools have also opened here. Though authorities have denied immediate withdrawal of any new ban, for the time being, they said they are closely monitoring the situation and instructed local authorities to stop people from crowding.
