GURUGRAM: The Special Task Force (STF) Police of Haryana have arrested the main accused for the murder of a person Sukhbir Chauhan alias Sukhi, who was allegedly killed by his brother-in-law Chaman at the Gurudwara Road in Gurugram.

Officials from the The Special Task Force say that the suspect was caught on Thursday in Badshahpur.

During questioning, the suspect told the Special Task Force that the victim, Sukhbir, had a relationship with the suspect's sister, Pushpa, and that Sukhbir and Pushpa got married in 2008. Because of this, the accused grew to dislike Sukhbir.

"Chaman was an active member of the Vikram aka Papla gang. He and one of his helpers came up with a plan to kill Sukhbir. In this series of events, Chaman and his friends Rahul, Ankur, Deepak, and Yogesh, also known as Seelu, shot Sukhbir several times, killing him "Varun Dahiya, who works for the STF, said.  The police said that Chaman had been charged with nine serious crimes in Gurugram, Mahendragarh, and Rajasthan.

In 2009, Sukhbir was elected Vice President of the Sohna Market Committee. He was getting ready to run for the Zilla Parishad ward-2 Councillor position.
