New Delhi: Acase of stabbing a vegetable vendor to death after a vegetable vendor turned out to be a vegetable failure in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad district adjoining the capital of Delhi has come to light. Police have registered an FIR at Kavi Nagar police station on the complaint of the vegetable vendor's son. The police are still searching for the accused.
Anil Kumar, 38, used to plant a vegetable baron in Morta village of Bapu Dham under Kavi Nagar police station area. On the evening of June 23, a man had bought jackfruit from Anil and took it away. After a while, the same person returned and said that the jackfruit was bad. There was an argument between the two and the dispute started. Then suddenly the customer picked up the stand of the LED light placed on the railing and hit the vegetable vendor. Hearing the screams, people gathered around and then the injured was taken to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police said they have registered an FIR in the case. The accused has been identified and is currently out of police custody. According to the Ghaziabad police, the same thing has come to light in the preliminary investigation that the quarrel took place due to the malfunctioning of the vegetable. The police are currently awaiting the post-mortem report.
