It is to be noted that Pradeep Singh was out on bail and was also getting police protection, even after that he was murdered. The security guard was also injured in this attack. 

This incident is from Kotkapura in Punjab. It is reported that while going to the shop, there was a firing on Singh. Three more people were injured in the incident. Faridkot range IG Pradeep Kumar Yadav has confirmed the incident. He has told that 'There has been an incident of firing, where a person named Pradeep Singh has died. Whereas, three people have been injured. His security guard also retaliated. We have received CCTV footage and some information has also been received.' After the assassination, CM Mann tweeted in Punjabi that, 'Punjab is a peace-loving state where a mutual brotherhood of people is very strong, no one will be allowed to disturb the peace of Punjab, to maintain the peace of the state. Strict instructions to the civil and police officers to maintain the peace of the state.'
