Mumbai: International Yoga Day, that is, on June 21, a large number of people from the Muslim community participated in yoga in the Mumbai Malad region. Men with women were also present in large numbers at the event. The Yoga programme in Malad was organised on behalf of Haji Haider Azam. Haider Azam is the Chairman of Maulana Azad Minority Corporation in the Maharashtra government.

Haji Haider, who organises the Yoga practice, said that the country's Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants to thank the country for the yoga which has made the International Day of Yoga so popular today and people from all over the world are doing yoga. Haider attacked those who linked yoga to religion, saying that most people in the Muslim community have no objection to yoga.
