Purnia: The incident of love jihad has come to light from the Purnia district of Bihar. A boy trapped the girl in his love and took her away from home. Thereafter, the family lodged a police report against the man for allegedly abducting the daughter. Showing readiness, the police traced the girl within 48 hours and handed her over to the family after legal action.
In fact, the young man had abducted the girl living in the Mufassil police station area of ​​Purnia by saying that he would marry her. Vivek Kumar Lath, an activist of the International Hindu Council, had also received the information about the abduction of the girl. Thereafter, he met the victim's family. Then the girl's father lodged a complaint against four persons at the Mufassil police station for abducting the daughter.
After the incident came to light, the police started searching for the girl and recovered her within 48 hours from the Jogbani area located on the Nepal-India border. Thereafter, The police recorded the statement of the girl and also got her medical done. Then the girl was handed over to her family. The police have registered a case under various sections against 4 persons including the main culprit Mohammad Chand in this case. At present all the criminals are absconding. Police are searching for them. District President of the International Hindu Council Vivek Kumar Lath told that the Hindu girl was abducted with the intention of getting her converted and married by making her a victim of love jihad. Due to the promptness of the police, the girl has been recovered safely. He further said that this is not the first incident. This type of incident is mostly seen in the Seemanchal region. Hindu sisters from poorer sections are being targeted. He is being made a victim of love jihad. The government needs to make a concrete law on this.
