New Delhi: The controversy over the issue of making objectionable remarks against Prophet Mohammed does not seem to have abated. There was a massive protest against Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal on the day of Jumei in Delhi's Jama Masjid complex. The protesters are demanding the arrest of Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal. After the Juma prayers on Friday, people staged a protest at the mosque demanding the arrest of Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal. Along with this, people also raised provocative slogans.

Earlier on Thursday, workers of Asaduddin Owaisi's party AIMIM had protested in front of the parliament police station. In fact, suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma had made objectionable remarks on Prophet Mohammad in response to his derogatory remarks on the Shivling found in Gyanvapi in a TV debate. After that, the controversy greatly escalated. Even some Muslim countries had condemned Nupur Sharma's remarks. The BJP had then suspended Nupur Sharma from the party. However, after the controversy escalated, Nupur Sharma had also apologised and withdrew her statement.

Nupur Sharma had said, "I take back my words. "My intention was not to hurt anyone, if my words have hurt anyone's religious sentiments, I withdraw my words. I could not bear the insult of Mahadev and in a fit of rage, I made such a comment. Delhi Police has been alerted in the wake of Nupur Sharma's case. The Delhi Police had recently booked 32 people, including Nupur Sharma, and Asaduddin Owaisi, for making provocative remarks.
