Patna: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday said it is mandatory to invite elected public representatives to government programmes, foundation stones and other programmes organized by the state government. On BJP MLA Nitish Mishra's calling attention motion in Bihar assembly, the CM on Wednesday said, "All district administration and state government departments have already been directed that public representatives including MLAs, Legislative Council members, MPs from the respective areas should be invited to any foundation stone laying ceremony or inauguration function of the state government. It is mandatory. "

He said it is also mandatory to include the names of government officials including ministers, MPs, MLAs and MLCs on the foundation stone and inauguration plaques. Moving a calling attention motion in the Bihar Assembly, BJP MLA from Jhanjharpur Nitish Mishra said that several projects related to PM Gram Sadak Yojana and CM Gram Sampark Yojana were recently inaugurated without inviting local elected representatives.

He said that in addition, several new projects were recently launched by the Department of Rural Development in many parts of the state without informing the elected representatives.
