Visakhapatnam: Former Andhra Pradesh CM Kiran Kumar Reddy has now joined the BJP after leaving the Congress. However, he had left the Congress a month ago. Now, while listing the mistakes of the Congress, he has said that it is because of 'wrong decisions' that the Congress is breaking up in the states. Let us inform you that Anil Antony, the son of veteran Congress leader and former Defence Minister AK Antony, has also joined the BJP recently.

On leaving the party, Reddy said, 'Due to the wrong decisions of the Congress high command, the party is breaking up state by state; it is not a matter of one state. There is an old story that my king is very intelligent, but he does not think for himself and does not listen to anyone's suggestions. You all must now know what I want to say. Reddy further said, 'The Congress party is not able to understand the opinion of the people. The Congress Party is neither analysing what the mistake is nor wanting to rectify it. He thinks that he is right and everyone else, including the people of the country, is wrong. Due to this ideology, I decided to leave the party.

It is being told that Reddy had resigned from the party in March 2023 itself amid a tussle with the Congress leadership. Possibilities are being expressed that the BJP may benefit from Reddy's entry into the Rayalaseema region. Along with this, the BJP can also declare him the chief minister's candidate in the upcoming assembly elections. Assembly elections are going to be held in the state in 2024.
