Roorkee: The death of a student in IIT in Roorkee, Uttarakhand has created a stir. The deceased student was isolated and quarantined after coming in contact with corona infected students. However, the student's corona report was negative. Officials who arrived after receiving the information said that the student's mouth was foaming. Police said the postmortem report will reveal the cause of death.
The student of MTech hailed from Chandigarh and had quarantine in the hostel of IIT. The student was found unconscious in his room and was declared brought dead by doctors when he was taken to the hospital. The body of the student has been kept in the post mortem house of civil hospital in Roorkee. The family members of the student have been informed about the incident. MTech student Prem Singh resident Chandigarh, who was staying at the quarantine centre set up at the institute's CEC guest house on Wednesday, was found unconscious. The student's friends were reportedly trying to contact him over the phone. But the student did not pick up the phone. For a long time, when the student did not pick up the phone, his friends rushed to the room. Where the student found them unconscious.
Friends in hurry informed the institute administration after which the student was taken to the hospital of the institute by ambulance. Doctors from here referred the student to Roorkee Civil Hospital. Where doctors declared the student dead. Let us share that 60 students had reported corona positive in IIT Roorkee last week. Then, in a RTPCR test conducted by haridwar district health department at the institute on Wednesday, 20 more students were found to be infected with corona.
