Ranchi: A father and son were killed in a pickup and bike collision near Pratappur Madarsa on Belchampa-Maziaon main road in Garhwa district of Jharkhand. His relative was injured there. The incident took place around 8 pm on Wednesday. Vipin Ram, 40, a resident of Chhaparwar village in Meral police station area, who was injured in the accident, said his daughter is getting married.
The trio had left on the same bike to distribute the wedding invitation letter. He was accompanied by his relatives Basudev Ram, 40, a resident of Jhagrua village in Vishrampur police station area of Palamu district and his 18-year-old son Rahul Kumar. The trio was returning after distributing invitation cards. Meanwhile, the pickup hit his bike. The collision was so severe that his relative Basudev and his son Rahul died on the spot.
He was seriously injured in the tragic accident. He was brought to Sadar Hospital for treatment with the help of locals. Doctors there referred him to RIMS after first aid. Police sent the bodies to Sadar Hospital for postmortem and have started investigating the case.
