New York: Electronic cookers can not only make many types of dishes, but it is also useful in sanitizing the N95 mask as well. The study, published in 'Environmental Science and Technology Letters', revealed that the N95 mask was kept in dry heat for 50 minutes in an electronic cooker, which not only disinfected the inside and outside but also its filter in the meantime. There can be no loss of any kind.
Vishal Verma, a researcher at the University of Illinois, US, said that there are many different ways to disinfect any mask, but most of them can cause the filter to deteriorate. Verma has also stated that any sanitation method requires disinfecting all the surfaces of the mask, but equally important is that after sanitizing the mask, the filter will be completely protected and it wears the face of the wearer but it fits perfectly.
Scientists predict that dry heat is going to meet all three criteria and while doing so, there is no need for any special chemicals. Varma said that he wanted to find a method that would be accessible to the people at home. Due to this, they have decided to test the electric cooker.
