Shivpuri: A man held a woman hostage overnight and raped her at the gunpoint at Nayagaon under Balor Kalan police station area of Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh. On the complaint of the woman, the police have registered a case against the man under sections of kidnapping, including rape. Hindu organizations also became active as the culprits belonged to a particular religion. They reached the police station and demanded the early arrest of the culprit.
The incident took place in a tribal woman living in Balmour Kalan. She had been living in her house for a few months. Her husband had gone out to work as a labourer. The woman told the police that Naeem Khan, who lives in the neighbourhood, usually comes and goes. He used to sit with his family every morning and evening. Naeem Khan lured the woman into talking and persuaded her to roam the fields.
On the pretext of hanging around, the criminal took the woman to the forest, where he started forcing her. When the woman resisted and fled from the spot, the culprit chased her and caught hold of the woman midway. The woman was held hostage and raped overnight at the gunpoint. On the complaint of the woman, the Balor Kalan police station has registered a case under various sections against the culprit. The culprit is still absconding.
