From the Demow area of Raha in the district, a police squad from Nagaon and the excise department recovered a large amount of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and country liquor.

According to the police, a raid was conducted at the home of a citizen called Prasanta Das based on information from the excise and the police team. During the operation, the crew discovered a large cargo of liquor worth Rs 80 thousand at market prices.

The liquor was illegally held for sale at a higher market cost. A person has been arrested, and a case has been filed. According to the police, they are taking efforts to start cracking down on any illegal storage facilities for liquor and other such items. It should be noted that liquor is frequently offered in "black" for a higher market rate depending on the location and time.
