The festival of Nag Panchami is celebrated every year. In this way, this year this festival is going to come on 23 July. This festival falls in the month of Sawan and many people celebrate it with great pomp. By the way, very few people know that there is a law to worship Shiva on this day along with Nagdevata. By the way, you may have known about Ganesha and Kartikeya, the sons of Shiva, but you would never have heard of their five daughters. So let us tell you today about the daughters who are Nagakanya. In fact, there is a mention of her daughter in the Shiva Purana, who is known as Goddess Mansa, she is the goddess of serpents. There is a story found in Madhusravani, according to which Shiva has five daughters. They were born by mistake. Let's know about him.

Story related to Shiva's daughters - Once, Goddess Parvati and Shiva were playing water sports. At the same time, the ejaculation of Lord Shiva happened. Lord Shiva placed his semen on a leaf. Five girls were born from his semen. But these girls were not in human form. These were Nagakanyaas. Lord Shiva had knowledge about them. But Mata Parvati knew nothing about this. Lord Shiva loved his daughters like his sons. Shiva used to visit the lake every morning during the morning to meet his daughters. When this sequence started running daily, Mother Parvati wondered where Mahadev goes every day. Mother decided to find out this secret. One day when Shiva ji got out to go to the lake in the morning, Mother also quietly followed him.

When Parvati ji saw that Shiva ji is playing like a father with Nagakanya. Parvati ji got angry after seeing this. As soon as the mother raised her foot to kill those girls, Shiva stopped her and said that they are also your daughters. Shiva told Mother Parvati the whole story of the birth of girls. This pacified the mother's anger. By the way, let us also tell you that Shiva has five serpent girls comprising Jabi, Jaya, Vishar, Dev and Dotali. In fact, Lord Shiva said that 'Whoever will worship these girls on the fifth day of Shukla Paksha of Saavan month, their family will not have fear of snakebite.'
